SEISglitch

SEISglitch is a Python package based on ObsPy. Its purpose is to detect “glitches” (also referred to as “long-period disurbances”) in the raw seismic data of the VBB (very broadband) and SP (short period) seismometers, both part of the SEIS instrument of NASA’s Discovery mission “InSight” to planet Mars. The package allows to detect glitches, plot them in different ways, and remove them from the seismic raw data. SEISglitch corresponds to the MPS method detailed in Scholz et al. (2020, see below), all other methods (ISAE, UCLA, IPGP) were implemented in MATLAB and their essential scripts are also delivered with this software. SEISglitch comes further shipped with some useful features to ease data handling (e.g. download, decimation, time conversion).
